If you do not try to spend $400 to $500 in this store only for the annual inspection, JUST KEEP AWAY FROM HERE. This month I drove here for inspection and they give me more than $400 of quote, when I say I don't need that and I will go, they getting rude and impute the "problem" on NYS system...but fortunately I spent only $21 in another store, and the technician said the "problem" is not actually a problem, no need to change the part.
I am sorry this is how you feel. Fortunately nys dmv requires us to make sure the vehicles we inspect are safe for the road. Unfortunately your vehicle needs work to meet those qualifications. We take the safety of our customers and others on the road very seriously. It is unfortunate that you went to another facility and they do not have the same ethics as we do or as required by law.
